Preguntas Frecuentes
1. What difference exists between mineral water and purified natural water?
Natural Mineral Water contains minerals that are obtained directly from natural fountains. The water is bottled directly from the fountain. It may contain gas that is obtained naturally from the fountains o without gas. The Purified Natural Water does not contain gas. It is industrially processed to eliminate impurities and obtain pure H2O molecules. It does not contain minerals, thus is plain water with no additional benefits.

2. How are Guitig and Tesalia produced?
Guitig is a mixture of heavy mineralized water obtained from 4 natural fountains. It goes through a filtering and polishing process, then enters a CO2 saturator and passes into the bottling procedure of filling, covering, codifying and thermal fixture. Its lifespan is 6 months from its manufacture.

Tesalia is low mineralized water obtained from 6 natural fountains. It goes through a sand filtering, UV sterilization, and Ozone tank saturation process. Then, it enters the bottling procedure of filling, covering, codifying and thermal fixture. Its lifespan is 3 months from its manufacture.

3. Is it true that consumption of mineral water can induce calculus formation?
Mineral water is classified in 3 categories: oligo-minerals, weak mineralization and rich in mineral salts. Tesalia water is considered weak mineralization while Guitig is rich in mineral salts. Both waters are classified as daily ingestion adequacy by de FDA. Both calcium and magnesium are elements that can react as salts (carbonates). These elements are present in all mineral waters in different concentrations. Our water has less concentration of these elements than many natural food products in the market, This is the reason why our mineral water does not represent a health risk or calculus formation.

4. Can mineral water be used for facial cleaning purposes?
Of course people can clean their faces with mineral water, though soap consumption will increase due to the calcium and magnesium compound. For instance, Tesalia water allows more foam to be formed while mixing with soap, contrary to Guitig.

5. Can mineral water be used in a vehicle′s radiator?
A vehicle′s radiator must use low mineralization water (distilled or potable water), because when water heats up, it produces vapor, thus carbonate, calcium, and magnesium precipitation that can cause incrustation and cluttering.

6. What feeds Machachi′s fountains?
The melting of the ice in the mountaintops near the fountains, especially from the Cotopaxi Volcano, penetrates the soil and travels through unknown paths, gathering enriching minerals and gases (CO2) that flavors the water.

7. Are Quintuples similar as other gaseous beverages?
Quintuples differentiate from all the other gaseous beverages in the market because Tesalia′s fountain water is used in its manufacturing. Other beverages use treated water with very few or no minerals.

8. What is a hydration beverage?
A hydration beverage helps the body to rapidly regain lost fluids, minerals and energy during daily activities. Developed to provide strength through re-hydration, it restores the body′s electrolytes and carbohydrates for an adequate functioning. For example, the recommended consumption of water for a 70Kg person is of approximately 2.8L.

9. What is an isotonic beverage?
Depending on the salt and sugar compound of the body, we can categorize sporting beverages into three categories: Hypertonic (high salt and sugar content which the body eliminates), Isotonic (same level of salt and sugar content as the body that is eliminated), and Hypotonic (lower level of salt and sugar content that the body eliminates).
